GIE+EXPO 2015: In Review

With over 21,000 in attendance, an 11% increase in registration over 2014, the 2015 GIE+EXPO was the place to be to see what is new in the lawn & landscape industry. Walker's booth at the GIE+EXPO was no exception. Walker presented two new tractor models and three new decks.

The Model H38i which features impressive power from a Kohler EFI big-block engine, and the new Model H24d with a Kohler diesel engine are great additions to the Model H family. Both of these tractors are in tooling and have production timelines in the first and second quarter of 2016.

The DR64, an impressive new rear discharge deck for the Model H is in full production, featuring wider cut width, adjustable footrest positions, and easier tilt-up. The DC42R is an additional 42 inch collection option with reverse rotation design benefits. A new 42" mulch deck, the DM42 features serrated wing style blades and recirculating hubs similar to the DM48.

In addition to the new products a full range of current tractor models, and in impressive display for all-season Walker Add-ons. “This years booth let us show new products while also highlighting the versatility of the Walker,” explains Marketing Manager Tim Cromley. “Our Add-ons Display Tower demonstrated the impressive versatility of the Walker to both existing and potential customers.”

Walker also had an outdoor, live demonstration booth where show attendees could operate and interact with many Walker mowers including its new 2015 and 2016 models. “The ability to direct people to our outside booth to test drive our mowers is always very valuable,” explains Cromley, “We were able to help many people get to know the product and start a relationship with Walker.”
