This year's Equip Expo held in Louisville from October 18-20 was a bustling hub of activity, and we were happy to be right in the mix. Engaging with dealers and customers from across North America, the event proved to be a fantastic opportunity for networking and showcasing new products. Let's dive into some of the highlights that made this year memorable.
Dealer Delight: A Morning of Connection
Kicking off on Wednesday, October 18, we hosted a special morning for dealers in our booth. This intimate gathering provided a platform to introduce new products, understand dealers' business and market conditions, and foster a sense of camaraderie. Each Walker dealer received a customized James Utility Tool branded as a Walker Dealer, making it a memorable keepsake. The event was marked by abundant donuts, coffee, and pizza, creating a relaxed atmosphere for catching up with existing dealers and forging connections with those interested in the Walker line.

Inside Booth: A Showcase of Innovation
Our inside booth used a fresh layout, featuring a spacious design with tractors neatly sectioned by model. Each section not only displayed a specific model but also showcased various configurations. Custom-made floor stands played model-specific videos on 13.9-inch iPads, enhancing clarity and providing an engaging experience for visitors. This thoughtful layout update contributed to a clearer presentation of models and facilitated smooth traffic flow in and out of the booth from all directions.

Outside Booth: Test Drives and Interaction Galore
The success of the outside booth was clear, with attendees having the opportunity to test drive seven different Walker models. Over 20 staff members from the Walker factory and distributor teams across North America were on hand, making it a great platform for interaction. Despite a bit of moisture on day two, the outside booth saw hundreds of demonstrations, as we gave out 700 custom hats to demo operators.

This year, we chose to host our annual Distributor Awards Dinner in Louisville alongside Equip Expo. Sixty guests joined us for a memorable evening at Volare Italian Ristorante. The highlights of the night included:
- 12 anniversary awards, with three distributors recognized for an impressive 40 years with the Walker program.
- A tie for 1st place in Growth in New Machine Registrations between Precision Work Inc (Port Washington, NY) and Penco Power Products (Kalispell, MT).
- Excellence in Sales awarded to Coates Landscape Supply (Rexburg, ID).
- Excellence in Service acknowledged Gregg Mangum and Tim Patton of Outdoor Equipment Distributors (Raleigh, NC).
- Excellence in Marketing credited to Creighton Richardson of Walker Mid America (Harrisonville, MO).
- The prestigious Chairman's Award, an annual recognition, was presented to Justin Baxley of LEE Outdoor Power (Waycross, GA).
