Walker has been continuously using the Model 7 transmission since the late ’70’s as a primary drive component of the Walker Mower. The ability to now own this project and control the production and output quality fulfills a long-time dream of Walker to be not only the most reliable supplier we can to our customers but also be a dependable supplier to many other companies who also rely on the Model 7 and Model 11 transmissions. Cruise Control And Finger Tip Responsiveness
The two independent Walker Model 7 transmissions in a Walker Mower are key to the design. The intuitive Walker steering design requires less input from the operator and returns more responsive results. With a combination of a Forward Speed Control (cruise control) and steering levers which provide left and right turning, speed reduction and reverse with minimal finger tip pressure, the control of the Walker is easily mastered leading to confident and safe operation.
